A Hindu wedding invitation in Hindi has a rhythm. It invokes the gods, greets the guest with respect, names the family and the couple, lists the ceremonies, and closes with a humble request for presence and blessing. Invocation shlokas and auspicious openings
Most traditional cards open with a Ganesh invocation or a mangal shloka. These lines bless the ceremony and set a sacred tone. Copy the line you prefer; both are widely used on wedding cards and are considered auspicious.
- "॥ श्री गणेशाय नमः ॥" — a standard Ganesh invocation opening.

Invitation message templates in Hindi
You can build a complete Hindi invitation message by combining an invocation, a family greeting, the ceremony announcement and the closing request. Here are three ready-to-edit templates.
- "सपरिवार सादर आमंत्रण — श्री [पिता] एवं श्रीमती [माता] अपने चिरंजीव [वर] के शुभ विवाह हेतु आपके परिवार को सादर आमंत्रित करते हैं। वधू: कुमारी [वधू], पुत्री श्री [पिता]।"
- "हमारे परिवार की ओर से सादर निमंत्रण है कि शुभ विवाह के पावन अवसर पर पधारकर नवदंपति को अपना आशीर्वाद प्रदान करें।"
- "आपसे विनम्र निवेदन है कि विवाह समारोह में सम्मिलित होकर इस शुभ अवसर को और अधिक पवित्र बनाएं।"
Adding the ceremonies and muhurat
Indian weddings rarely have a single event. The invitation should carry the whole sequence — haldi, mehendi, sangeet, main ceremony and reception — with the muhurat time, dates and venues beside each. On a digital card these become a schedule section guests can scroll, and the auspicious times stay exactly as the pandit gave them.
Closing blessings and RSVP
End the Hindi card with a line of gratitude and an invitation to RSVP. A traditional closing like "आपकी शुभ उपस्थिति हेतु विनम्र निवेदन" pairs naturally with a modern note asking guests to confirm by a date. The combination keeps the ritual intact while making planning easy for everyone.
